Do you think the pollen count is high?

After swollen eyes a few times this spring, I've been keeping Mason indoors and giving him Claritin and perscription nasal spray. I didn't even think about him going outside for recess at school. When he woke up from his nap yesterday this is what he looked like and both eyes looked like this by the time he went to bed last night. It hurts me just to see him, and I can't get him to quit rubbing them! Any suggestions? Why does the perfect weather have to be during allergy season?

Poor little guy!! That's probably how I'm going to look by noon! My allergies have gone crazy today! I say just let him rub his poor little eyes and nose...and lots of sleep. You can't feel it as bad when you're sleeping.

Oh, bless his heart! I think we'll be going through something similar with Jameston :( And I heard yesterday that this will be one of the worst seasons for allergies in years...no fun. I hope he gets to feeling better soon!

Have you thought about taking him to an allergist and getting allergy shots? Poor guy, he looks miserable.

Both my boys have bad allergies. David is on Clarinex, Singulair, and nasal spray. They strip after playing outside and sometimes shower. The air purifiers in their room help a lot.
Poor Mason- that's awful.

Jill, I would try to find some local honey and give him a tbl spoon of that every day. It works really well for Morgan and also my sister's boys. Both of your boys are handsome! Let me know if the remedy works for you :)
