Disney 2012

The last week of April we took a family vacation to Disney World.  As I look back on our trip a few things stand out to me.  The first is sunglasses.  Max LOVED his Buzz Lightyear sunglasses and he wore them anywhere and everywhere we went.  He was pretty timid when it came to the rides, so I think the sunglasses brought him some comfort.  He was also a big fan of his stroller which was kind of nice as we worked our way through masses of people.  If he was ever out, he was quickly asking to get back in.  The second thing that stands out is Star Wars.  The Star Wars simulator was one of Mason's favorite rides and almost all of the boys treats that they got while we were there had to do with Star Wars (guns, action figures, and R2D2 light spinners).  Our hotel room was pretty crazy as they ran around with their Star Wars guns, that made loud shooting noises, every chance they got.  The third thing that I think of is characters.  Mason absolutely loved seeing all of the characters and wanted a picture with every one we passed. Max on the other hand was not a big fan.  The only time he stood by a character by himself was when we saw Minnie and Mickey, and to top it off, Minnie gave him a kiss.  Max was so excited and wouldn't quit talking about it.  The last thing, and the thing that comes to mind over everything is how much fun we had being together and all of the special memories that we made.  Jonathan and I loved watching the boys take everything in and how excited they got as they experienced such a magical place.  Mason rode every ride he could, and he couldn't get enough.  He said that Pirates of the Caribbean was his favorite, though, and we definitely rode it the most times.  Max's favorites were "It's A Small World" (Mason's least favorite) and the Disney Junior Live show (we've watched it on You Tube a few hundred times since we've been home).  My favorite thing was watching the boys play with their R2D2 light spinners while we waited for the parade to start.  The smiles on their faces and their laughter as they played together was priceless.  This was our last trip as a family of four and it was definitely a trip to remember! l

Seaside Half-Marathon

Julie and Gabe came to visit us the beginning of March, and while they were here they ran the Seaside Half-Marathon with Jonathan. The race was a good excuse for them to come to Florida and have some fun with us. We had a great time, but it just made me wish they lived closer so that we could hang out more often. Love you, Julie and Gabe!

Typical:)

Aunt Julie bought Mason a Lego set while she was here and was sweet enough to build it with him.

Surprise!!!

We are expecting another baby! I'm fifteen weeks along, and my due date is June 26th. I also found out this week that we are having a girl! I think I am still in shock. I guess I just expected that we would have another boy so I'm trying to wrap my head around the news. We are really excited, though, and I just wanted to share our surprise!
