My Little Blue Spider Man

A little girl in my class had a birthday party today that Mason and I went to. There was a petting zoo, a face painter, and a balloon artist. Mason was having so much fun I didn't think I was going to get him to leave. As you can tell from the pictures below Mason chose to have his face painted like a blue Spider Man :)

Dessert, Anyone?

If anyone would like to stop by for dessert tonight we are having "a huge watermelon with pecans in it." It is pictured below, and I have to say it is very low in fat and calories.

Trip to the Zoo

A couple of weeks a go Mason and I went to the zoo with Rae, Macy, and Jarett. It was our first time to go this year and the weather was perfect. It was also a good day because they had a new gorilla, and they had changed their environments. Because of this the gorillas were very busy exploring. The two younger female gorillas also kept taunting the older one, Timbo, who just wanted to be left alone. It was interesting to watch, but I felt sorry for her. Mason is still talking about Timbo. Here are a few pictures... The kids love the bird exhibit in the children's area because you get to feed the birds. One decided to perch on my head. I didn't care if he did that, I just didn't want poop on my head :)

At the gorilla exhibit, Mason and Jarett wouldn't quit playing with the locks. Mason said they were trying to get the gorillas out of the cave, probably not a great idea.

There is a parrot named Ralphie on one of Mason's favorite Sesame Street episodes. Mason loved looking at the parrot, and he kept calling him Ralphie.

Joseph and the Green Goat

When we got home from church last night Mason got his guitar and said he wanted to sing a song about Joseph. It goes like this, "Joseph had a coat of many colors. He was afraid of a green goat." Weird or creative? I would question his Bible class teacher, but it has been me :)

Funny Words

Mason loves to talk. He talks non-stop and is constantly making us laugh at the funny things that he says. It's not that the things he says are hilarious, but it is the fact that they are coming out of the mouth of a two year old. A few examples...

While Mason was waking up from his nap I went into his room and asked him what he was doing. He said, "I'm just thinking." I asked what he was thinking about, and he said, "I'm just thinking about my ABC's."

Mason told his teacher at school that he was nervous (one of his favorite words right now). She asked him why and he said, "I'm just nervous when I stay at home by myself."

While Jonathan was giving Mason a bath, Mason kept asking for Cheese Its. Jonathan told him that we didn't have any, and Mason said, "I'm just worried about those Cheese Its."

A little boy in Mason's class at school kept banging his spoon on the table. Mason told him to stop, and the little boy kept doing it. Mason finally said, "I've told you three times, Brian!"
